Utherverse servers are down?

In case you missed it, Kendrick (World Ops) posted in the Utherverse Forum

"Now that we are back and stable we wanted to give everyone a bit more detail on what happened yesterday. One of our core switches failed causing all of our services to go offline. Getting the replacement took awhile longer than anticipated, then getting it into our cage and configured took a bit also.

Thanks to everyone for sticking it out, and we will look at doing something for the community in response to the extended downtime. We are also working on contingency plans to prevent being offline for that long in the future. Again, big thanks to everyone in the community for your patience."

So it was a network issue after all.

RLC / Utherverse has a strong hardware failure. Nothing works. Members and staff (owner too) communicate through a temporary forum for all latest news:

At this point, I have a professional sympathy for the RLC staff! Being offline for so many hours is personally painful for every one involved!

I do not know what is goin on with RLC but as it happened to me some month ago this helped me a lot ! But i believe it is something else .

All this time l have been in a panic... so much to do and could not get in. I went and got a new modem and my service is being upgraded. All because l thought it was MY internet

Lets hope its about the above you mention Frances! Else as it s stated it could be that one of the managers asked for pay raise! ...lol

It is hard down!. From the report, they had a three hour outage starting at 1 AM eastern, had it up for an hour, and lost it again since then. My (professional) guess is a network or system upgrade failed, and the recovery process did not do well either! On the other hand, they could have been massively hacked.
